The surface of a Turkey Joint has a hard sweet cover with silver-white sugar coating. Inside sits rich chocolate mixed with hazelnuts. Some peanuts or other nuts can be added to the content.
The oldest type carries whole hazelnuts, set in the chocolate center. There are versions with Brazilian nuts. Another traditional version mixes coconut and almond, with silver sugar coating outside and inside filled with chocolate, roasted almond and coconut flakes.
There is also a dark chocolate vresion with only roasted nuts.
On the outside the sweet shines silver-white, and bumps of nuts show through the coating. That rough look gives the typical shape of a Turkey leg. The treats come packed in boxes, with twelve units of sweet each one and total weight around two pounds.
